Bedroom makeover!!!

Over conference weekend Joel and I decided that our bedroom needed to be spruced up a little bit. Anyone who saw it would agree that it was pathetic!!! So we bought a lovey shade of blue for the walls. And went to town painting the walls while we enjoyed Sunday conference. Here are some pictures of our bedroom transformation.

DURING

I decide that we could not use the same old quilt in our nice blue room so i went and got this duvet and sequined pillow. Monday night.

We had this cute little bed side table...but it was RED. So i decided to be crafty and paint it a nice brown since we had a blue and brown theme going. So i went to Home Depot bought some sand paper, primer and some chocolate brown paint. I was SOOO excited!!! Here are some pictures of the process. Enjoy.

UGLY POOP BROWN TABLE!!!!!

I was not happy at all with the way the table turned out. So back to Home Depot I went to get new brown paint. At this point i am thinking it would have been easier and cheaper to buy a new table!! But i was determined. So a few coats later.....here is my cute brown table.

I love this little table. I bought it so long ago when i worked at Down East Home and it has been in every bedroom that i have had. It even moved to Washington with me. I am glad that i can keep it in my remodeled room. It looks cutier in person. Here is a picture of the bed complete with shams. All i need now is my headboard and bed to go on sale at West Elm so i can buy it!!! It take so long to decorate a room. But it is fun. Here is what we have done in the room so far. To be continued....

Tera! So sorry I dodn't call you back this weekend, we were in SLC at a wedding reception. Dancing with the stars tonight? Call me if you want to hang... As for your bedroom, it looks great, though I noticed you left out the crusty paint assoc. at the home depot. I guess you fianlly found peace with your little table, and it doesn't matter.
