Canning and Burgers

Last night was such a fun night. Joel's mom took us to the church cannery to buy us some food storage for Christmas...what a great gift. We had so much fun canning the food.

Here we are ready to get out canning on. This is Janet, Jamie (Joel's mom and sister), Andra (our sister in law) and us...the happy caners. Hairnets are so sexy!! Carley had a blast playing with her buddies Tyler and Nicole Anderson...thanks guys!

Janet bought us 5 cases of food storage!! Thanks Janet and Paul. We had so much fun caning it and the food was really cheep. I think we will be buying our oatmeal from the cannery instead of Macey's from now on.

We were starving after all that hard work. As we were coming home we realized that In N Out Burger opened in American Fork and there was no wait!! We scarfed down our
double boubles are were on our way in 10 min. They were good for a California burger but no match for Utah's own Burger Bar.

Hair

I kept hoping Joel would post his recent makeovers but he insists that he doesn't blog. So I guess it is all up to me. We went to a friends house to play games one night while she colored her hair. After awhile Carley got tired so i went home to put her to bed and everyone was supposed to follow once Taren's color was washed out. About an hour later this walked through my door!!!

Taren had a little color left and asked Joel just once if she could put it on him. A little too eagerly he agreed. His eyebrows looked like they had been drawn on with a sharpie.

After a week with black hair Joel decided he wanted to shave it but first wanted a mo hawk for one night.

Just when i thought his look could not get any worse I found this bandanna lovin fool in my bathroom.

This is his current look. I like the shaved head better than the black but I'm ready for the stud I married to come back.

September

It has been a fun busy month! Here are some pictures that we have taken this month.
Endless shrimp with the Dalh's. I hate shrimp this was so gross but such a fun evening.

Joel ate over 135 shrimp. I was the one that wanted to puke.

We had a girls weekend while the husbands were backpacking. We had a way fun sleepover and shopping day in Park City. Here are all the girls at lunch.

Carley rode a Newfoundland outside the restaurant. The dog and Carley could have cared less about the picture.

What a sexy mountain man!!

Joel fishing. It was really pretty.

Some of the fellas hanging out.

Here are the "Bear Grills" wanna bes at lunch on the way home.

Carley was so happy that her Dad came home.

We went to Park City the next weekend to celebrate Nicole Anderson's birthday. I love Park City and can't get enough. We are just hanging out before the intense Coaster ride.

Since Carley and I could not go on the Alpine Coaster Joel took pictures the entire way to show us what the ride was like. It was very thoughtful of him. I love my husband he makes me laugh all the time with his crazy antics.

Wasn't that so thoughtful of him. I fell like i was on the coaster ride him.
We went out to lunch after the Coaster ride. I finally got my Cornbread crusted Halibut Salad from Loco Lizard.

Carley decided to try a Corona. Starting early.
We went to Wheeler Farm with some friends and had a little photo shoot. It was a lot of fun. It is always a good time with Wendy, Lesley, and the kids around.
Feeding the ducks.

I have to post some of the cute pictures of Carley. I had so much fun taking pictures of her.

It was so windy and i forgot a bow for Carley's hair.

Look at those cheeks...I just want to kiss them. What a mischievous smile.

So proud of her teeth.

Here is cute Lily. She was so funny she kept trying to push the strollers and pet the goats tails.

Here is dare devil Parker. What a cute little guy!

My little cowgirl. I want to get her some cowgirl boots.

Throw in some game nights, wave running, hanging out, and the gym and that has been out September. Lets hope October is as much fun.
Oh and we went over to the Zundel's to hang out and ended up
getting shots. What good friends. I think Taren just wanted to see our butts. She said they were B12 shots but Joel and I don't remember what happened the rest of the night and we woke up with no clothes on...just a little suspicious.

Labor Day

Friday we went to Sports Authority to buy a tent and lantern...that is the extent of our camping supplies. We wanted to go to Bear Lake but the weather report looked grim so we headed to Yuba. We got the last campsite available. It was the worst site but had a great view. This is the view from our site.

True to charter Carley loved camping. We sat her in the bumbo while we set up the tent and she loved digging in the dirt and playing with the rocks. We got the tent set up but could not figure out the rain fly, we rigged it so it would stay on and hoped it would not rain. This is the fam cuddling in the tent at 6 am...it was pouring rain! Carley loved it she was kicking and squealing all morning.

We hung out with Nicole and Tyler Anderson most of the morning waiting for it to clear up so we could take the wave runner out. As soon as we started packing up to head home the wind died down and it got warm. We have fun hanging out and Joel and i got a good ride on the wave runner before the weather changed again.

We made it home in time to go to a fun football party at the Harding's...thanks again guys. On Sunday we decided that we still wanted our hobo dinners and headed up American Fork Canyon with the Anderson's. We had a lot of fun driving through the canyon. On our quest for a cooking spot we ended up at Cascade Springs and took some cute pictures. I decided it would be a great place to get bridal/groomal pictures done...I really wish i could fit in my wedding dress. I'll have to post the family shots late they are on Nicole's camera. Here are some of Carley. She was about 3 days overdue for a nap and not really into having her photo taken.

Carley looks like we are torturing her...we probably are.

We backtracked a little and found a spot to cook dinner. The guys started right up with the Bear Grills impressions, rubbed their sticks together, and got a fire going.

It was a lot of fun and the hobo dinners were so tasty!!! We had a great weekend with the Anderson's. Thanks guys!
