Bridal Veil Falls

Joel had yesterday off and it was so nice that we decided to kick off summer with a hike. We decided to try Provo canyon it has some really pretty waterfalls. There is a beautiful parkway that goes past the falls and then there are trails all over to hike up to the falls.

Here is Joel and Carley along the parkway. Don't you love the stunna shades on the little one. She loves wearing her shades she was looking all over in a daze. The sun must be so bright to little ones who spend most of their time indoors.


You can't really tell but here we are at the base of the waterfall. There is a big pool of water if front of us where lots of dogs and kids were playing.


Here we are at the top the mist from the fall felt so good. Carley didn't really know why freezing cold water was spraying her in the face but i think she liked it.


This is the view from the falls. That is a big mound of snow behind us.

The hike was beautiful and fun. It was also pretty intense. There are some parts of the trail at the top that are washed away and was just loose rock. I was so worried that Joel and Carley would fall down the mountain. I was glad when we made it to the parkway again. We will definitely be back to the parkway hopefully with roller blades next time!!

Blessing Dress

I forgot to post a pictures close enough so you could see her blessing dress. This dress is very special because i wore it when i was blessed. She looked so precious in it. Thanks to Quincey for the bracelet she wore it was beautiful.

I need to take more pictures at events but i have too much fun talking with people and forget to snap shots. So here are a couple of pics of the day. Thanks to my family for coming and making enchiladas Sunday morning...you saved us!!! Thanks to all the family and friends that came you made it a great day! Joel gave Carley a wonderful blessing and we had some good eats...what a great day!

After the party Carley and Joel enjoyed a basketball game. They do this a lot.

And the great news is Carley is sleeping more I woke up this morning to realize that she slept from 11 to 6:30!!! In her own bed!!! I hope this is the beginning of a trend although i do love to cuddle with her.

Easter

We didn't take many pictures on Easter. Here is Carley in her Easter dress and bonnet that Grandma made for her. It was so cute.

Smiles

Carely is getting more and more smiley and we can't get enough!! I love to see her grin it is so tender. Her smile makes the months of sleeplessness and the cavities worth it. I'm not sure if the smiles make up for not being able to wear 90 percent of my pants...maybe the giggling will...just kidding...kinda.

Buy 2 get 1 free

Usually the phrase "buy 2 get 1 free" applies to clothes and retail items. This week it referrers to my teeth. Let me start off by saying that in all my 27 years of life i have never had a cavity...even when i took about 7 years off from going to the dentist. Well my tooth had been hurting since Valentines day so i made an appointment and sure enough had a HUGE cavity!!!! @#%$@#$@ It took over one appointment to fix so i had to make a follow up appointement for x-rays and an exam. I still might need a root canal on that tooth...cross your fingers. I went in on Friday and had 2 more cavities filled! One with out being numbed! My dentist felt so bad that he did not charge me for the third cavity. Which is way nice since we don't have dental insurance. I guess it is true having babies ruins your teeth. We might have to buy Carley's brother and sisters.
