Island Park

We went snowmobiling in Island Park this past weekend. Thanks to Joel's mom and Paul for the fun weekend. Carley and I hung out in the cabin most of the weekend while everyone went on wild adventures in the snow. Paul's kids grew up in I.P. so they were the best guides we could ever ask for. They favorite destination was Two Top which apparently looks like Narnia.

Here is most of the group before a big trek through the snow.
Joel and i blazed some new trails through the powder. I didn't go much cuz of the bun in the oven but we had so much fun. We took Carley on a little ride to get a family shot by this pond. It was so pretty and the weather could not have been better.

Carley had her poker face on during the ride but she enjoyed playing with a snowball. What a cutie!!

We had fun playing games in the cabin when it was too dark to ride anymore. Here is most of the group.

The hot tub was so nice. Carley loved being in the warm water with everyone. It was like a bathtub party!

Yes, I wore a sweater over my swimming suit in the hot tub. I didn't want to get in all the way because of the baby. We had a lot lot of fun.

Style makeover

Joel and I have been in fashion ruts for a long time now. Saturday our buddy Taren took us shopping to break us out of our ruts.
Here is Taren on the birthday saddle at Texas Roadhouse last month. Just so you know what a fashionista we were dealing with.

Mostly that is just a funny picture of Taren.
We had so much fun shopping. Joel was limited by how huge he is and how hot he gets. He tried on about 15 pairs of jeans and all but one were way too short. We spent about an hour and a half in Buckle with him. He only bought 2 shirts. This is Joel's new look...like it of leave it?

I was feeling very pregnant while shopping. Everything seemed to accentuated my growing belly. I feel very Lauren Conrad/ Khloe Kardashian in this outfit...what do you think? Like it or leave it?

I don't know if it is Joel's horrible photography skills or the dress but this was the best picture out of like 20 shots. Not good!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

What a great Christmas season!!! We had so much fun. My favorite part was taking treats around to the neighbors. Everyone was so excited to get some Muddy Buddies. We ended up staying at peoples houses for hours. We played American Idol and Dance Dance Revolution on the Wii and even watched someones wedding video, I LOVED every second!!
I bought this dress for Carley last Christmas at TJMaxx and was hoping it would fit her this year. She looked SO ADORABLE!! She got so many compliments at church and at Joel's Grandma's Christmas Eve party. She is so cute!

Here is Joel helping Carley open her first Christmas gift at Grandma Eastman's house. She had a ton of fun looking at everyone's gifts and crawling from person to person. She made Christmas so much fun!

A little family shot at my parents where we had a great time. We had Elk shish kabobs that were fantastic and enjoyed exchanging a few gifts.

We finally got dressed for the day at 7 o'clock that night and went to see Blindside with Joel's mom and some siblings. The movie was so good! Carley didn't cry but she kept yelling and cheering at the football parts. I'm sure everyone else in the theater was as amused as we were by her.

On top of all our family fun we got to spend some time with friends. Of course i didn't take pictures but we still had fun.

On New Years Eve we went to dinner with some friends and came home to watch Angels and Demons...so good! Luckily i had read the book so i could explain to Joel what was happening. The movie goes so fast it is hard to keep up. The 3 of us welcomed in the new year with some sparkling cider...Carley didn't like it at all. 2009 was such a fantastic year for us I am looking forward to all 2010 has to bring...especially the a new baby in June.

Joel spent New Years day tinkering in the garage and running to Checker for sockets. Joel is becoming such a mechanic he changed the transmission fluid on our Santa Fe. He can do anything with the help of a YouTube video.

Carley and I relaxed and tinkered in the house all day. She wanted to go out and help Joel with the car. She made a break for the door at every opportunity. She is a fiddler just like her dad.

See ya 2009. Hello 2010!!
